Fiesta, Fiesta!

21 Mar

Something about Spring (yes, it is technically Spring as of yesterday but still snowing in the forecast for the week) makes me want to drink margaritas, wear a teal frock with wedges, carry a pastel bag and frolic around with a chunky necklace and heart-shaped shades (I did just say heart-shaped shades and I will be finding myself a pair to purchase)! What are we waiting for? If it’s 60* and Sunny this weekend, I will be cracking open the tequila (that I brought home from my Mexican honeymoon and still haven’t opened now 3 months later…), blending up some margaritas and frolicking around in a whimsically layered teal dress with wedges! If only I had somewhere to go…

When JCrew first started selling the Bobble necklaces everyone went nuts and rightfully so, they’re adorable! They can be worn casually with a plain white t-shirt, boyfriend jeans and Rainbows… or they can be dressed up with a cocktail dress or summer maxi dress and wedges. These chunky necklaces are not going out of style – I must get myself some more! I think yellow (since I have white, black, teal and pink) would be the perfect spring fling color! This is the easiest style to pull-off if you’re a little scared of the latest trends; it’s not brand new, so you’ve seen it done before and it’s easy to add casually or for a night out on the town!

Also on my agenda for the weekend: Jalapeno Cheese Stuffed Baked Chicken!! I saw the recipe originally on a new blog that I found while Googling things like “calories in fried jalapeno poppers” as my mouth was watering and I was being tempted to pay $10 for 4 of them + 3,000 calories but I refrained myself and found this delicious looking dish as a loyal fan of Weight Watchers, I tried to find a lower calorie version and was SO (soooo so so so sooo so!!!!) excited when I saw it on Gina’s Skinny Taste website here. In the end, they both seem pretty low-cal and healthy so I think I’ll take a trip to the supermarket this weekend and gather up some of the ingredients and spend a day in the kitchen… with my tequila… baking a variation of these healthy (looks scrumptious) recipes for dinner!

Now that I’ve made you all hungry, thirsty and craving a spring shopping trip… Have a fabulous day, xoxo!
